RSB Rig Pro unstepped the 65 meter mast onboard Red Dragon earlier today. The boat arrived into Palma on Monday after a very busy season starting in Thailand in January and ending with the Voile Du St Tropez regatta last week.
With time being very short for preparing the mast for unstepping the RSB team worked alongside Andy Kitchener, 7C Rigging to get the necessary jobs ticked off the list which allowed a flawless rig pull operation to be completed this morning.
The mast will now be tented in the STP yard in Palma and will undergo a rod and cable refit while the mast and boom are repainted by Rolling Stock, the planned re-stepping date is February 2012.
