The boys have been running around like the proverbial fly’s and have done an amazing job getting Timoneer prepped for a rig pull in a very short period of time while also stripping the standing rigging off the Is A Rose masts and prepping them for hanging and tenting for painting.
The mizzen mast on Timoneer put up a bit of a fight during the unstep; the huge amount of cables that all had to be fed through a very small hole in the mast base without damaging them meant that this was a slow process. Once the mizzen came out the boat turned around and the main mast lifted straight out with no issues. As all this was going on Mark, Morgan and Helmut hung the masts and booms from Is A Rose at the other end of the yard so the scaffolders could start the tent building process necessary for the painting that will start soon. These are long days for the lads but the end result is happy customers.
