Recently one of our riggers performed rig checks on a yacht here in Palma. These images were taken as a cautionary tale. This is a direct result of insufficient maintenance; preventative or otherwise.

Ultimately the consequences of letting your equipment suffer this much raise the chances of rigging failures significantly, and we all know what broken rigging doesn’t do, and that’s keep the mast standing up.
