8 countries, 8 days… over €1,000,000 raised over just four years… Cogs for Cancer rides again in October, and this year our very own Steve Branagh has signed up to take part!
It’s an incredible feat by this organisation; supported by high profile celebrities and businesses, the most determined cyclists in the yachting industry don their lycra and Chamois creams and set about cycling through 8 countries in 8 days to raise money for cancer charities.
Starting in Maastricht in Holland – the riders and their entourage of volunteer support team of Caterers, Massage Therapists, Osteopaths, Bike Mechanics and photographers will pass through Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Monaco and France. It is 1,250 KM and 17,820 meters of climbing, averaging over 2,000 meters of climbing every day. On Friday 11th October the finish will be in Monaco, as will the Grand Depart of the Tribute Ride on Saturday 12th October, with the Finish as usual for a C4C ride on the IYCA in Antibes, France.
Its an amazing effort for a cause that effects every single one of us, either directly or closely. Please give generously.
